By Alba Sotillo, Chief of Staff at Moove Cars
In my day-to-day role as Chief of Staff, communication is not just a tool; it is the common thread that connects strategy with execution. However, communicating is not simply about transmitting information — it is about ensuring that information creates impact, mobilizes teams, and aligns visions.
Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in the workshop “Public Speaking and High-Impact Presentations”, led by Joana Sanz at the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid. This session, part of the Best Company for All Talent program by equipos&talento, was a revealing experience on how neuroscience and adaptive communication can transform the way we lead.
Communicating from the “Why”
One of the most powerful lessons from the session was the importance of connecting with our purpose before communicating. As neuroscience applied to communication highlights, fear and confidence trigger opposite physiological responses. To lead with impact, we must learn to manage those responses and communicate from a place of purpose, ensuring our message is delivered with clarity and authenticity.
Adaptability: The Key to Leadership
In an organization as dynamic as Moove Cars, we communicate with highly diverse profiles. The workshop provided key tools to understand that not everyone processes information in the same way. Some people need precise data, while others are driven by inspiration and the “big picture.” The key to success lies in adaptive communication.
Knowing when to be concise and direct, and when to engage emotionally through examples or anecdotes, is what differentiates a technical presentation from one that truly drives change.
Innovation and People
This type of training reinforces our vision at Moove Cars: true modernization in our industry comes through the development of human skills. Integrating high-level public speaking and communication tools not only makes us better professionals, but also strengthens our corporate culture, allowing us to become more transparent, efficient, and approachable.
As Maya Angelou once said: “People will forget what you said and what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” That is what conscious leadership is about: communicating to connect.
